5. To help the student understand the mission and the work of the church. To develop a desire for godliness and to teach how to overcome sin.

B. For the student’s personal and social development, the school seeks:
1. To help the student understand and accept himself as a unique individual created in the image of God.
2. To teach the student to treat others with love and respect since they too are made in the image of God.
3. The new birth is possible only because of what Jesus Christ, the Son of God did. He took the punishment of sin by dying on the cross so that each man would not have to die for his sin. After Jesus’ death and burial, God raised him from the dead and gave him new life. This Jesus is the only way through which man can have the new life and right fellowship with God.
4. Man can have new relationship with God bya) Confessing that he is a sinner deserving to dieb) Believing that Jesus died in his place, andc) Receiving by faith the new life fellowship with God that only Jesus can give.
5. It is only left for man to accept this new life as God speaks to his heart through the power of the Holy Spirit.
